OUR STORY
The South Mitcham Community Association is a small charity and registered company that manages the South Mitcham Community Centre based on the Phipps Bridge Estate in Mitcham. The community centre has been offering a range of positive activities and opportunities to the community since its opening in 1978.

OUR VISION

Our ongoing goal and vision is to be the heart of the community – being open to all, providing a welcoming and inclusive place for the local community.  Supporting and improving people's wellbeing is our main priority.

OUR MISSION

To be known  as the go-to place for empathetic community support and services. Delivering a varied programme of activities that empower and elevate local people.  Providing projects across multiple generations & cultural identities – working with all members of the community. By nurturing community confidence and creating cohesion we offer a non-judgmental and inclusive place with support services and spaces. Our door, hearts and ears are always open. Every day the focus is on helping to improve people wellbeing and lifetime chances.
